So I've had some fun and adventurous last couple of days!! I had a couple of hilarious instances that made me laugh!!! HARD!!!

So Marne had surgery yesterday. The surgery was good, and it lasted quite awhile, but it went well. I had some tasks that I had to do while she was gone, and one of them was to bring Marne's bed up to my mom's room. Which entailed cleaning the sheets. HA!

Brimley, our lovely monstrous pup, has this love/hate relationship with our cat Angel a.k.a Satan. And Satan just happens to sleep on Marne's bed. Constantly. So when I went downstairs to pick up the sheets Brimley followed me and tried to snatch the sheets out of my hand while I was taking them off. As I attempted to walk up the stairs Brimley, once again tried to snatch them out of my hands. Dumb dog. I get upstairs, and throw them into our washing machine. We have one of those new front loader sets (which are super nice), so the basin of the washer is much easier for say an animal to jump into. And that is EXACTLY what Brimley did. He jumped right into the basin of the washer with his back legs hanging out and his bob (his tail got bobbed so that's what it literally is. a bob) was moving from side to side hideously fast. And than he started to whine/bark and that just made me laugh. Oh how I wish I had my camera upstairs at the time. But I didn't.

I should've just thrown him into the wash and let him have a tumble with the sheets. But I had a nice heart that day (even tho the rest of the day I was regretting not putting him threw the wash) and pulled him out. And even after the sheets were washed, he still tried to snatch them out of my hands.

And Now about today. First I'm going to say...Sorry Jodi this part is about sports. But it is NOT about football. I know, the world is coming to an end. LOL!! Anyways....

I had to go into work early because I had a blind date in the afternoon. So I was at work at 7:30 til 11:30. And during that time, Madness started. Madness meaning March madness. Meaning BASKETBALL!!! During the conference title tournaments I was so annoyed with the 40-60 second update that ESPN would do. If I'm going to watch a game, I wanna watch it live!!! Or not at all. And there was one game this morning that I was NOT going to miss!!! And of course that game was Texas A&M vs. BYU. So I said a couple of different things to coworkers and some of them said something to the effects of me needing to get my priorities in line. Hello!! They are in line! Work and sports share the same number on my priority list. And the best thing is that unlike guys, girls can multi-task just fine!! In fact, I would like to think that I work better if I have sometype of sports issue going on. An article on my desk, stat sheet from the previous game, or even a live feed video off the internet. Yes that's right. I was able to get a live feed from the game(s) and watched the game(s). The best thing is... I got a double amount of work done during that time I was watching the game than when I wasn't watching the game. (I also switched to the Butler game occasionally!!).

So that is what has been going on lately. Yes, I know I'm a dork! But hey, you're reading this so you can't blame me!! :-) More to come in the next couple of days with my blind date that I had today, and a... interesting soccer game with Ben and Jerry's.

Peace!

Sugar

I am sorry!!! I have been non-existent for so long. Life has been quite busy and I just let time get away from me. It happens to everyone right?

Anyways, it has been quite a ride the last couple of months. I have had trying lessons, hilarious experiences, and friendships built in ways that I never thought would be. Its a lot to say, and hopefully I'll be able to really sit down and tell the stories that NEED to be told.

he Sugar Bowl was amazing!! So many MANY different memories that make me love my guys ten times more than what I did before. I had my challenges down there, but I had people to lean on to help me get back up. It was not an easy thing to really ask for that strength to lean on tho. I'm not someone to admit that they need help. When it comes to working together at football as managers its kinda sixes. We set up for practice and take down, but during practice we do our own responsibilities. Over this past summer (that's like four blogs in and of itself) I learned to work independently more than what I already did. I relied on people to help me, but a lot of the times I just did certain tasks by myself. So down in New Orleans, it was really hard for me to ask for help; I'm not someone to do that willingly. Today when I see them, I can't help but smile, and think of the friendship that was built a little bit stronge. Even tho they don't really know exactly why, I always thank them. I've been doing football for almost three years now! Longest I have ever had a job! And I don't plan on quitting anytime soon (sorry guys).
There are way too many stories to tell about New Orleans, but I'll share some of my favorite ones. There was a group of players: Greg, T.J., Zach, Tage, and Grayson (Pictured left to right). When they are all together it is quite hilarious. Anyways, the guys wanted to go on the boardwalk, and us three girls (Rachel, Kelsie and myself) decided to tag along. The boardwalk ended up being closed, so we wondered down to Cafe Du Monde. We ended up losing all the guys but greg on our way down to the Cafe. We got our beignets and were starting to walk back to the hotel when we here this obnoxiously loud horn next to us. We figured it was a boat or something really cool, so we run up these stairs, holding a bag of beignets in one hand, and the other hand an actual beignet. Sounds retarded but it was hilarious. These bags of beignets was half way full of powdered sugar! Powdered sugar was flying everywhere! We get to the top of the stairs, and it was a measly train (I think) that was going by. We were just laughing!

Other favorite story: New Years Eve in New Orleans. It was nuts crazy but I loved it!! We had a pep rally that we were expected to go to. Which turned out to be really fun. There was a field goal set up to do some kicking. Colt Sampson almost took off one of the 'refs' heads. I was laughing fairly hard. Schlauderaff kicked it fairly well from what I remember. And for the majority of the players... there is a reason why we leave the place kicking to Louie and Vroman. Sorry guys. This was a really relaxed and fun thing to see. Some of my best pictures from the whole entire trip came that night. After the pep rally, we had a riverboat cruise up the Mississippi River. After the dinner, players were roaming around on the boat taking pictures, talking, and goofing off. I was talking with a few players (to keep from their humiliation I won't mention their names), and all the sudden one was laughing so hard and so high I could not believe it was coming from him. His physical appearance would lead on to believe that he laughs, just not so high. He is one of the funniest guys that you will ever meet! And if you ever get him laughing really hard, the tears will be falling!!! I think what triggered it was Coach Hill's son was making faces through the windows and one was absolutely hilarious. I wish I had taken a picture of it. But it just didn't work out.

Okay, I think I am done boring you all for now. I will really try and work on more stories later. I need to get to bed. NIGHT!!
